Van Nuys, CA
The King’s University (TKU) was founded by Dr. Jack Hayford, and was born out of the ministry of The Church On The Way. Throughout the years, The Church On The Way’s commitment to training and discipleship had birthed several institutes, and in 1997, the accredited King’s College and Seminary was founded. Strategically located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, the school was launched with the focus on providing quality Christian education.
Dr. Hayford, best known as “Pastor Jack,” served as the senior pastor of this dynamic and influential multi-ethnic, multi-campus church for more than three decades. He is a prolific and best-selling author of more than 50 books and over 500 hymns and choruses used by the church today, most notably, the chorus, Majesty. He is also acknowledged throughout the world as a “bridge-builder” in the Kingdom of God, helping to bring unity across denominational and racial boundaries. His global influence led him to cultivate a unique partnership with Dr. Robert Morris, founding pastor of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. Their partnership eventually led to the transition of TKU’s main campus operations to Southlake. Pastor Jack’s and Pastor Robert’s shared commitment to biblical education and Spirit-filled ministry propels their vision to train men and women for the work of the Kingdom wherever God gives them influence.
Today, The King’s University at Van Nuys Teaching Site* is one of two Southern California locations offering courses through TKU. The King’s University at Van Nuys exists for the purpose of raising up a new generation of Spirit-filled leaders for the work of the Kingdom in the 21st century.
